When We Were Five

Paddy now is to be thought of as “Paddy the Hero.” As in “Mom, Paddy the Hero wants an apple. Can he have one?”
I just love the five year old boy stage.
CS Lewis was about that age when according to his older brother, he marched up to his mother, pointed at his own chest and said, “He is Jacksie”. Thereafter he refused to answer to any other name and eventually became commonly known as Jack (rather than Clive — can’t blame him).
The world can use more heroes, so I hope Paddy sticks with the concept even if he drops the specific formulation.

What a wonderful identity.
Hm, Bear is five and says he’s really a cat. Wonder if that will stick.
