“…For it has no virtue that we know of, save perhaps to sweeten a fouled air, or to drive away some passing heaviness.”

Beyond Economics

First I read Crunchy Cons.

That led me to Small is Beautiful and Voluntary Simplicity.

Interestingly, Joseph Pearce has written a book called Small is Still Beautiful. Now where’s the tie-in? Here’s an article by JP on E Schumacher’s education; and there’s more here. (Another book I found thru Amazon’s sorting system– traditional wisdom on Less is More. (This unavoidably reminds me of the song in The Hobbit)

Here is a booklist of someone’s Best Conservative Books of the 20th century

However, it doesn’t seem to contain Russell Kirk.

Now I’m reading books on natural alternatives:

Better Basics for the Home

The Naturally Clean Home

Folk Medicine

and I found this Caelum et Terra site which I blogged about earlier.

What’s the point here? I’m not sure where I’m going with this rabbit trail, yet….. but I wanted to archive it.
